Waste Connections decided to leverage modern technologies to solve one of the world’s biggest problems, ‘waste and garbage disposal.’ The app was intended to be an end-to-end digital platform that served as a database. It also needed to include features to help improve internal team operations, specifically, by helping drivers efficiently plan their routes for optimal trash collection, and relocation to the nearest transfer stations. To achieve this goal, they partnered with Tekrevol and created an app that simplifies waste management by harnessing the power of modern technologies.

Key Challenges

Waste Connections and Tekrevol realized that the current status of waste management is poor because industry processes and practices were outdated. Therefore, a proper medium that fostered an efficient way of waste collection to disposal was required. The only way to achieve such a medium was by harnessing the latest technologies to create an all-in-one solution for the industry. In a nutshell, the app was intended to be a strategic way of ensuring that waste management is carried out effectively. Here’s what we believed was missing in the waste management industry:

Our Solution

We designed and integrated a dashboard to the app that encapsulated the complete analytics and process of waste that runs in the entire city. A database was also built and integrated into the app to organize, record, and safely store all data sent by users and gathered by the organization.

The app also had features that enhanced the collaboration of internal teams, enabling them to play an integral role in the overall waste management and collection process. This ensured an efficient waste management progression centered around accountability, precision, and agility.
